Who do you think you are?

Psychologists have proved that you will most consistently perform in a manner that is in harmony with the image you have of yourself. Even with a negative self-concept, you may occasionally break out of the entire pattern and land a big deal, win over a new friend or belt over a softball out of the park at the company picnic.

Conversely, even those individuals with healthy self-image blow it from time to time. But, usually, your mind will complete the picture you tell it to paint of yourself. You will probably act accordance with your thoughts.

On the other hand, individuals who view themselves as God sees them are usually happy about who they are. They know that they have been created in God’s image and He has crowned them with tremendous honor.

You’ve got to be happy with who you are right now and accept yourself, faults and all. Your sense of value cannot be based on your achievements, how well you perform, how somebody else treats you, of how popular or how successful you are. Your sense of value should be based solely the fact that you are a child of the Most High.

As His unique creation, you have something to offer this world that nobody else has, that nobody else can be.

Romans 12:1-2 explains.. "I APPEAL to you therefore, brethren, and beg of you in view of the mercies of God, to make a decisive dedication of your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and well pleasing to God, which is your reasonable service and spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, [fashioned after and adapted to its external, superficial customs], but be transformed (changed) by the [entire] renewal of your mind [by its new ideals and its new attitude], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God, even the thing which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His sight for you].

It is vital that you accept yourself and learn to be happy with God made you to be. If you want to truly enjoy your life, you must be at peace with yourself. Many people constantly feel badly about themselves. They are overly critical of themselves, living with all sorts of self of self-imposed guilt and condemnation. No wonder, they’re not happy; they have a war going on inside. They’re not at peace with themselves. And if you can’t get along with other people, the place to start is by being happy with who God made you to be.

Remember, we become what we believe. We are the product of what we said yesterday.we can also create through our words SPOKEN.

Romans 1:16
"For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation"

Our life changes from faith to faith. My life changed because Christ is in me. Therefore, you and I should speak words that we believe. Your life can be change by the word that you speak.

Hebrews 11:1-3
" Now FAITH is the assurance of the things hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].

For by faith the men of old had divine testimony borne to them and obtained a good report.

By faith we understand that the worlds [during the successive ages] were framed (fashioned, put in order, and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, so that what we see was not made out of things which are visible.

We are all equal in the sight of God. As the book of proverbs says, the rich and the poor has one thing in common, God is the maker of them all. The Lord gives sight to the eyes of both. Meaning, God creates all men. Some became rich and some become poor depending on how they see. Your vision determines your future. What you see determines what you become. A wealthy man is not better than you. He just sees differently.

We all have the ability to create and change your destiny. Success in life is just one dream away.

We are not what our mother says we are. In Genesis, God created all the heavens and the earth by His words. He made the sky, the fishes in the see by just speaking those words. We are created in the likeness in the image of God; we are next to God. Meaning,

Maam Capaning's talk.

We had a seminar with Maam Capaning last thursday in the second floor agriculture building. Supposedly, the topic that was supposed to be discuss was for the students who are graduating in highschool from any other schools. Unfotunately, there were no students from any other schools and the development communication students were too late to come in. We expected two hundred people but then, only few went there. We were more or less twenty.

Even though we were not able to meet our expectations, we had a great time with maam Capaning. She discussed a lot of things about our course and she explained a lot more in our course. We learned a lot about it and our mind was refreshed during the talk. It was awesome because some things were explained to us and we understood our courses deeper than what we usually understand. I had fun and i learned. It was a privilage to talk with her because she has a lot of ideas about how DEVCom works and how powerful media, production and communication is.

Community Mapping

Commmunity Mapping is a process of sketching or drawing the community, or the particular area that is assigned to us by our teacher in which each of us, devcom students are required to do.

It helps us by knowing the details of the community and it gives us knowledge about the population of the particular area. In this activity, students are able to observe the community, and the place where we are assigned to.

sa nabahaan.

bei, our God is HUGE. He is faithful in everything. let us not lose hope. focus lang jud ta sa iyahang Word that says "I will never leave you nor forsake you".

guys, his Word will not return to us void.
Psalms 91 clearly explains that He is our refuge and our fortress, my God in whom we trust. He will rescue us from the fowler's snare, from the destroying plague, He will shelter us with pinions, spread wings that we may take refuge. God's FAITHFULNESS is a PROTECTING SHIELD. We shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day. Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. Though a thousand fall at our side, ten thousand at our right hand, near us it shall not come.

we have the Lord for our refuge; we have made the Most High our stronghold.

Guys, let us be aware that He is in CONTROL. simply believe in Him. have faith!.no doubt lang jud..:)

NO evil shall befall us, no affliction comes in our tent. For the Lord is good and His love endures forever. For He will commands the angels to guard us in our ways.

WHOEVER CLINGS TO HIM, WHOEVER KNOWS HIS NAME HE WILL SET ON HIGH.

As what He said, "All who call upon me I will answer; I will be with them in distress; I will deliver them and give them honor. With length of days I will satisfy them and show them my saving power"

Guys God is mindful with the animals. How much more in us?:)

dili ta magpadala. Lets be strong.

God loves us. Let's keep up the faith.:)

Photo Exhibit

We were told by our professor to drop by at the STC lobby to see the launching of the photo exhibit entitled "Mindanao War" and "Lansad 2". I wasn't able to drop by because I made some assignments for the other subjects. Honestly I also forgot to drop by, to think that I am obliged to go there. I wasn't able to join the launching at the STC lobby yet I saw the pictures on the following day. It was displayed at the old library.

The title alone tells us about the war that was happened last August. The photos were so unique and I so love how the pictures were being captured. It was perfect. :)

But then, it was so ironic to see those people in the photos. The victims suffered a lot, and I felt really sad about it due to the fact that they have no food to eat, no shelter to stay and no clothes for them to wear. As what my mother always tell me, "Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of CHOICE". In this case, they didn't choose to become victims of those rebels. Those kids who crave for toys didn't choose to feel that way. The children didn't choose to have a poverty way of life, they didn't choose their parents. Of course, who could choose a parent?no one. And I realized that we should be thankful on what we really have, to be contented on what we can reach for now, hope and strive hard to have a better one for the future. It is not bad to have an ambition but at least, be contented on what you have right now and be thankful from above because there are a lot of people who are thirsting for just a cup of juice and a slice of bread.
