Of all the eight MDG's, What struck me most?

Knowing about the eight Millennium Development Goal is a good matter. Being aware of what is in need and who are in need nowadays can help each individual realize's it's worth; the worth of having a food in the table every meal, the value of having education in school, child mortality and etc. It is really a good project for those who are in need and for all the people in the world.

As i read the eight MDG's goal, i was struck with the first goal; eradicate extreme poverty and hunger. As we breathe in happiness, there are those kids who have not taken their breakfast. As the clock ticks, there are those parents who search for jobs just to provide the basic need of their children, the food. There are also street children and beggars who goes to the dump areas just to get the left over foods in the styro which are some of them are spoiled. As we watch movies, hang out with friends in malls, laughing and having fun with the people around us, there are those who starve for food. These are the facts that I know and I am also a witness of these. Ironically speaking, these people are visible anywhere we go in the Philippines. It just struck me because here we are eating, ordering expensive foods that could satisfy our thirst and hunger yet leaving left overs behind afterwards. Of course, we can't blame ourselves about it because it is not our fault why some people starve. But at least, let us be thankful on what we have and share what we can share. I just appreciate the beauty of VALUE. From now on, let us VALUE and APPRECIATE what we have because we can never see nor feel what we have unless we lost all of them.
